1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Queensland Police Legacy website (policelegacyqld.org.au), making a donation, purchasing merchandise, or registering as a Contributing Member, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, donors, purchasers, and members. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our website or services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. About Queensland Police Legacy
Queensland Police Legacy is a registered charity (ACNC) and Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) operating in Queensland, Australia.
Our purpose is to support the families of Queensland Police officers who have died, including dependent children, surviving spouses or partners, and in certain circumstances, families of retired officers or those facing terminal illness.
3. Use of Our Website

4. Donations
4.1 General
Donations made through our website are processed securely via GiveWP and Stripe. Queensland Police Legacy is a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia.
4.2 Tax receipts
A tax receipt will be issued automatically to the email address provided at the time of donation. Please retain this receipt for your tax records. If you do not receive a receipt within 24 hours, please contact us at info@policelegacyqld.org.au.
4.3 Recurring donations
If you set up a recurring donation, you authorise Queensland Police Legacy to debit the nominated payment method on the agreed schedule until you cancel. You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by logging into your donor account or contacting us directly.
4.4 Refunds
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or without authorisation, please contact us within 14 days at info@policelegacyqld.org.au and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.
4.5 Use of funds
Donations are used to support Queensland Police families in accordance with our charitable purpose. Queensland Police Legacy operates transparently and in accordance with ACNC requirements.
5. Shop and Merchandise
5.1 Orders
All merchandise orders are subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order. You will be notified promptly if a product is out of stock or your order cannot be fulfilled, and a full refund will be issued.
5.2 Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice.
5.3 Payment
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
5.4 Postage and delivery
Postage is included in the price of all merchandise items. We aim to dispatch orders within 5 business days. Delivery timeframes will vary depending on your location within Australia. We currently ship to Australian addresses only.
Queensland Police Legacy is not responsible for delays caused by Australia Post or other carriers, or for items lost or damaged in transit once dispatched. If your order does not arrive within a reasonable time, please contact us and we will investigate.
5.5 Returns and exchanges
If you receive a faulty or incorrect item, please contact us at info@policelegacyqld.org.au within 14 days of receipt and we will arrange a replacement or refund. Please retain all original packaging when contacting us about a return.
We do not accept returns for change of mind. As a charitable organisation, all proceeds go directly to supporting police families, so we appreciate your understanding.
6. Contributing Membership
Contributing Membership provides access to exclusive member benefits including discounted accommodation at selected Gold Coast holiday properties and other member-only offers.
Membership benefits are subject to availability and may change from time to time. Queensland Police Legacy reserves the right to modify or withdraw benefits with reasonable notice to members.
Membership is personal and non-transferable. Members must not share login credentials or member-only offers with non-members.
7. Support and Assistance Applications
Information submitted via our contact or support enquiry forms to request assistance will be handled confidentially and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility for support is assessed at the discretion of Queensland Police Legacy. Submission of an enquiry or application does not guarantee assistance. We will communicate our assessment to you directly.
All information provided in support of an application must be truthful and accurate. Providing false or misleading information may result in ineligibility or withdrawal of support.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, graphics, and other materials — is the property of Queensland Police Legacy or its licensors and is protected by Australian copyright law.
You may view and print content from our website for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or modify any content without our prior written permission.
The Queensland Police Legacy name and logo are protected. Any unauthorised use is strictly prohibited.
